To successfully add your card to Apple Pay, you will need to ensure that:

Please ensure the name you enter in the Apple Pay app is an exact match to the name displayed on your Volt Debit Mastercard.

When you add your card, you will receive a one-time verification code on your registered mobile number to complete your Apple Pay set up. If you do not receive the verification code, please contact our Customer Care team.

To add a card on your iPhone

  • Go to Wallet and tap  
  • Follow the steps to add a new card.

To add a card on your iPad

  • Go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  • Tap Add Card.
  • Follow the steps to add a new card.

Add a card on your Apple Watch

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, and go to the My Watch tab. If you have multiple watches, choose one.
  • Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
  • Follow the steps to add a new card.

To add a card to Apple Pay, you need a Mac model with Touch ID

No, there are no additional fees for adding your card to Apple Pay or using it for payments. You are responsible however for any third-party charges associated with the use of Apple Pay (such as carrier or mobile data charges).

Apple uses security features built-in to the hardware and software of your device to help protect your transactions. Apple doesn’t store or have access to your full card details, and these are never stored on your device or shared with merchants when you use Apple Pay.

The first card you add to your Wallet is your default card. If you add your Volt Debit Mastercard to the wallet and would like to make it the default card, follow the instructions in the link here support.apple.com/en-au/HT205583

Once you add your Volt Debit Mastercard to Apple Pay you can use it in Australia or overseas wherever Mastercard contactless payments are accepted. Look for the following signs while paying.


While travelling overseas, we recommend you take your Volt Debit Mastercard as a backup.

The limits are the same that you have on your Volt Debit Mastercard. Please refer to the Spend Terms and Conditions for more details.

If you make a transaction over $200*, you may be prompted to enter your Volt Debit Mastercard PIN at the contactless terminal.

Yes, when you lose your card, you can get it replaced but you can also continue using your Volt Debit Mastercard in Apple Pay for payments as usual without having to change your card.

If you lose your device please contact our Customer Care team. We will suspend your card in Apple Pay. Alternatively, you can also use Apple’s Find My Phone service to remotely lock your device or permanently erase the data on your device, including your card details to prevent further Apple Pay transactions being processed.

No, you do not need to update your details in Apple Pay when your current card has been replaced or expired and a new card has been reissued.

Select your Volt Debit Mastercard card on your Wallet and tap it at the contactless terminal. If asked to use a PIN, please use the PIN for your Volt Debit Mastercard.
